The brief

Bethnal Barber had a loyal local following but no system for managing appointments. Walk-ins were unpredictable, the shop was either quiet or overwhelmed, and there was no way for new customers to book without calling. The owner wanted a site that worked as a booking system, not just a brochure.

What we built

Online booking system integrated with their calendar
Services and pricing page (cuts, fades, beard trims)
Staff profiles so customers could book their preferred barber
Google Maps embed and clear directions for new customers
Instagram feed integration to show recent cuts
Local SEO targeting Bethnal Green, Bow, Mile End, and Stepney Green

The result

The biggest shift wasn't aesthetic — it was operational. Before the site, roughly 80% of customers were walk-ins. That meant unpredictable revenue and no way to plan staffing. Three months after launch, 65% of bookings come through the website.

The online booking system also changed the kind of customers they were getting. New customers now arrive having already chosen their barber and knowing the price. Fewer no-shows, fewer conversations about cost.

Revenue per week is up roughly 30%. The site paid for itself in the first fortnight.

We used to have to turn people away on Saturdays and be empty on Tuesdays. Now we're booked solid all week because customers can see availability and book whenever they want.
